Sometimes the most memorable images can be the hardest ones to take. But it's in these moments that photography makes sense, offering true escapism...
Read moreThe world’s first jacket engineered for extreme-weather photography, in partnership with Leica Camera AG. The Frank Hurley features an ergonomic, lightweight construction to allow complete freedom of movement when shooting and bespoke pockets where batteries and devices can utilise core body heat to prolong life. The hard-wearing Cordura shell features high-frequency seam sealing to protect against severe weather, while 800-fill European goose down and a graphene lining provide revolutionary heat regulation to -25°C.
This limited-edition jacket is named after pioneer Frank Hurley, Sir Ernest Shackleton’s official photographer and cinematographer on the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition 1914-17.

Graphene is a revolutionary material, first isolated in 2004 by Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov, who took a block of graphite and dissected it layer by layer until only one remained. It is the lightest, strongest, most conductive material ever discovered.
Graphene can regulate body heat better than any other material on earth. Due to its thermal conductive properties, body warmth is preserved and distributed when in cold climates and then dissipated accordingly during spells of physical exertion.
Graphene equates to clothing that is lighter, warmer and tougher. And it doesn’t stop there. It also reduces humidity, is anti-microbial, anti-UV and anti-radiation.
In line with our ethos towards sustainability, Shackleton is a fur-free brand. The parkas and jackets in our outerwear range feature STX (Synthetic Thermal Exchange) ruffs, the result of many years of Italian research and development.
The down used in our insulted jackets has been sourced and managed in accordance with the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). RDS certification is granted to a company that has had its supply chain audited by a professional, third-party body. It recognises and rewards the best practices in animal welfare. Importantly, none of the down in Shackleton products is ever plucked from live birds.
