Vincent Graphene Base Layer

    Color: Black

In late 2018, we set out to develop the most innovative baselayer in its class; a piece that could enhance performance in the most testing sub-zero environments. This is the result, the Vincent, a super-light blend of 94% merino wool and 6% graphene. The virtues of merino are well known by adventurers, but by plaiting a single strand of graphene with a single strand of merino, the Vincent's graphene stays close to the skin where it can have maximum effect: it is incredibly heat conductive, anti-microbial, anti-radiation and anti-UV. Not only is it uniquely constructed, no two Vincents are the same – the graphene "code lines" show through in a unique pattern in every individual layer.

Graphene is a revolutionary material, first isolated in 2004 by Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov, who took a block of graphite and dissected it layer by layer until only one remained. It is the lightest, strongest, most conductive material ever discovered.

Graphene can regulate body heat better than any other material on earth. Due to its thermal conductive properties, body warmth is preserved and distributed when in cold climates and then dissipated accordingly during spells of physical exertion.

Graphene equates to clothing that is lighter, warmer and tougher. And it doesn’t stop there. It also reduces humidity, is anti-microbial, anti-UV and anti-radiation.
